Who We Are!
Kreating Young Minds Academy™ was founded by Keshanna Milsap. As the acting director and founder, Keshanna aims to raise the bar for early childhood education experiences in the urban community. As a passionate educator with over 17 years of experience teaching and caring for children, the trajectory of Kreating Young Minds Academy™ is promising.
Our mission is to provide quality childcare service in association with an accelerated STEAM-based curriculum that is developmentally appropriate & designed to nurture the whole child. The vision of Kreating Young Minds Academy™ is to prepare today’s young children by providing them with a strong foundation in the five essential subjects, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics). Our curriculum sets us apart, as we focus on hands-on activities that enhance our children’s critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration skills for the 21st century.

Meet our Founder & Director
Keshanna Milsap
Keshanna Milsap is a lifelong educator with over 17 years of experience serving and caring for children, specifically in early childhood education. Keshanna is the founder and director of Kreating Young Minds Academy™, on the south side of Chicago, Illinois. Keshanna holds a Master of Arts in Teacher Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois.
She holds a Type 04 certification, received Nationally Board Certification as an Early Childhood Generalist, and has earned recognition and honors from her industry for her countless contributions to the sector of Early Childhood Education. Hailing from Chicago’s south side, Keshanna is dedicated to offering top-notch childcare in her community.
With almost two decades in the Chicago Public School system, her varied roles as educator, coach, and developer of instructional units fueled her drive to establish her own academy, spurred by partnerships with administrators and principals.
Keshanna’s diverse expertise culminates in her unwavering passion for nurturing and guiding children during their critical formative years, inspiring the establishment of Kreating Young Minds Academy™.
